Terms of Use

Plain-language terms for using the tools, the patterns and the guides.

Using the tools

The tools are free to use for personal and commercial stitching. No account is required. Please don’t attempt to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests, or use it to process images you have no right to use.

Your patterns are yours

Patterns you create from your own photos, drawings or text belong to you. We claim no rights in them and never receive them: they’re created and stored in your browser. You may use, share and sell them as you like, subject to the rights in the images you started from.

Rights in images you import

Converting an image doesn’t change who owns it. If you start from someone else’s photo, artwork, character or logo, the chart is based on their work. Personal use is often tolerated, but sharing or selling such charts or finished pieces generally needs the owner’s permission. You are responsible for having the rights to images you convert and share.

Our patterns, alphabets and images

  • Library patterns are licensed under CC BY 4.0: stitch, gift and sell finished pieces freely; credit this site when you share or adapt the charts themselves.
  • Stitch alphabets and ornaments are dedicated to the public domain under CC0 1.0.
  • Sample photos come from Pixabay under the Pixabay Content License and are included for trying the tools; they are not licensed by us for redistribution.
  • Guides and site text are © the site operator; short quotes with a link are welcome.

Details for every asset and library are on the Licenses page.

Accuracy and colours

We work hard to make charts, counts and size calculations correct, and every method is described on How it works. Colours are custom on-screen values, not thread brand matches, and stitched results will differ from the screen. Library patterns are digital designs and have not been documented as stitched samples. Check a chart before investing in materials.

Your data and backups

Projects are stored only in your browser. We cannot access, restore or recover them. Keep backup files of projects you care about. See the Privacy policy.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost projects, material costs or other losses arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
